Travel Guides
Beyond just your basic knowledge you can pull out of any travel book, the greatest thing I learned was inside knowledge from someone who lives or has stayed in a city can make a huge difference on your impression of the visit. From learning how to trade dollars on the black market in Argentina, to finding the hidden gems in the city to eat or the attractions minimal tourists have stumbled upon, these will be the memories that stay strong in the mind.
I will endeavour to share everything I find from my travels, from money advice, what to pack, where to go and what to see. I will also try to take on everything, so I can help you regardless of whether you are solo travelling, heading off with a family or on a cruise. I will also update my blog posts to make sure they still illustrate the most up to date information possible.
Of course, if you feel there is a destination missing, please do get in contact and let me know, as I’m constantly adding new content when possible.
It is hard to pick a favourite from the bunch above, but to date I’d say Peru has to be my favourite country I have visited, somewhere I recommend everyone else goes at some point in their lives. Undoubtedly the biggest pull will be Machu Picchu, however there is so much more to see there, such as trekking the Colca Canyons in Arequipa, sandboarding in Huacachina and white water rafting absolutely anywhere it’s possible.
Speaking of which, the activity I have tried along my journeys which would be top of my person list of things to do before you die would be white water rafting. It gets the adrenaline rushing (providing you don’t go on a really easy one) and you can’t help but find yourself laughing, while you feel more alive than you’ve ever felt before.
