There are so many things to do in Barcelona, including La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell. The Sagrada Familia is easily the most recognisable part of Barcelona, however this Gaudi design took its time to build, in fact it isn’t set to be built fully until 2026, despite it being started in 1882. This means it took longer than the Egyptian pyramids. The concept around the temporary exhibit of the Eiffel Tower was first actually pitched to Barcelona, however it was rejected, funny to think how different the city could have looked. Of course, you can’t visit Barcelona without being dragged into their love for football. Even if you’re not a fan, you should still visit the huge stadium for a quick photo. They have boasted some of the greatest players of all time, including Messi, Ronaldinho, Neymar, Xavi, Johan Cruyff, Michael Laudrup, Andres Iniesta, Rivaldo, Luis Suarez, Puyol, Eto’o, Luis Figo, Diego Maradona, Romario, Ronaldo, David Villa and Thierry Henry. Of course, if you prefer shopping, then La Rambla is the place to go, however you do have to keep your eyes out for pickpockets, something a few friends have experienced unfortunately, so just be aware.
