If you’re heading on holiday to Brighton then you’ve come to the right place. I can visit an area such as Sucre in Bolivia and write to the best of my ability, soaking up all the knowledge I can in 5 days, however it will never compare to what a local could contribute. Well, I’m a Brighton local!
I’ve been living here for 10 years now (oh man that’s way too long). It has been my return base for whenever I go off travelling, with everything waiting here for me. Don’t hesitate to send me an email if you ever have any questions.
So some of the main points..If you need to park, forget about it! Elm’s grove is the main free area people from outside of Brighton go to (well, ones with inside knowledge), otherwise you have to pay an arm and a leg for parking.
Where To Go
Komedia is the greatest place ever for a Friday night. Head there and watch some stand-up, with great food, then head off into town (preferably avoiding West Street as much as possible). You have more restaurant choices than you can throw a cat at. For Thai, head to the Office or the Giggling Squid. For Indian, Pavels in Kemptown is great. Italian food all seems to be collated together around the South Lanes.
