One of the most popular cities to visit in the UK, this is the home to Rolls Royce, where Charles Rolls and Henry Royce first met. The city was nicknamed cottonopolis in the 19th century as it became the world’s first ever industrial city. Obviously it is a very different scene nowadays, with large buildings and beautiful parks, but one of the biggest influences if football. Home to one of the greatest football teams of all times, Man UTD, they are now regularly overlooked for their baby blue Neighbours Man City. Manchester was also the place they first ever managed to split an atom, a huge step forward in science and helped to pave the way for radiotherapy and nuclear power.
