I travelled across this amazing country on a roadtrip for a few months and absolutely fell in love. There is so much to see, so much contrast, such as the healthy lifestyle in San Francisco, the natural wonders of the Grand Canyon and the Redwood trees as well as Yellowstone and Yosemite National Park, the party lifestyle in Vegas, Mardi Gras in New Orleans, the beaches of Miami, the city life in New York or living like a cowboy in Texas. We managed to save a wild beached pilot whale in Florida, which was a mind blowing experience and allowed us to see the sealife without going to a cruel park. Of course, a massive part of me will always love Texas because of the great friends I made in Fort Worth and Austin. In fact, one of the only places in the world I’d recommend against visiting was Los Angeles (no offence to any locals) as it all felt very seedy and uncomfortable. I have such fond memories of my time in the USA, I’d still put it down as my favourite travelling experience, but that could be because it was my first real travelling experience, after University just hanging out with friends and exploring the world one state at a time.
